We’ve been talking about cycles of momentum and the state of the most competitive races in the country for several weeks now.  We’ve seen swings of momentum for both parties around inflation, gas prices, Supreme Court decisions and more –  and it appear that for the moment there is a swing happening in favor of the Republicans. But should the Democrats prepare to lose big?

The pundit class on the Democratic side in particular seems to be beginning to throw in the towel?  But why? Races are still very competitive. Of course the consultants start to follow that narrative. And so we have to ask the question – is this a self-fulfilling prophecy?

With only just over two weeks to go, it’s evident that in many races, things are just too close to call, and as we see in races such as Iowa, some surprises may still be ahead.

Thanks as always for tuning in, sharing and sending us your questions and comments. We’ll see you next week.
