In Argentina, Javier Milei campaigned with a chainsaw as a symbol of massive cuts. That message won with a majority. No question, the debt was out of control and the economic issues were at the forefront of the minds of Argentinians. So what comes next? There will certainly be efforts to undermine these massive cuts.

What are the implications for the U.S.? Every time there is a budget crisis the can gets kicked down the road – is it even possible for us to address the current debt? If so, what could actually be done and would there ever be the political will to do so?

As President Biden touts ‘Bidenomics’, and through there has been growth and job creation, his approval numbers are still grounded in the 30s. So is the chainsaw a winning message for Donald Trump?
