We’re entering our 6th(!) year of the podcast and so today let’s look at what we think are the stories to follow this year (so far). We’ll delve into the political landscape of 2026, focusing on critical issues and upcoming elections. Let’s talk about the significance of Mamdani’s performance as New York City’s Mayor and its implications for the Democratic Party. We’ll also discuss some of the other potentially huge stories of the coming year including the importance of healthcare and inflation as key voter issues, and looming geopolitical tensions involving Venezuela and Iran.
