The John Zogby Strategies released on November 4 suggests a new realignment for the next few years: a severe gender gap between young men and women. This 74% gap not only has deep implications for Gen Z politics into the near future, but also will make gender relations pretty interesting.
We also show Trump and Harris tied among Hispanics, a group that had been reliably Democrat over the past few decades. Never monolithic by nationality, Hispanics show deep divisions also by social class and religious denomination.
Trump has clearly made inroads among Black voters. While Obama was able to receive 96% and 93% respectively among Blacks, Hillary Clinton’s and Joe Biden’s 87% showed a chipping away. If our poll stands up, Trump stands to get high teens support, especially higher among young Black men.
Finally, there is a substantial education gap those voters with college degrees supporting Harris 8 points and those without college degrees favoring Trump by 6 points — a significant difference, especially with Democrats suffering among a once-loyal working-class base.
